Yunnan Pu Erh
Pu Erh thee vindt zijn origine in Yunnan, China. Traditioneel werden de theebladeren na een eerste droging begraven onder de grond voor fermentatie. Dit creëerde een donker blad met veel minerale stoffen die voortkomen uit het fermentatieproces. Deze mineralen kunnen helpen bij het versnellen van uw metabolisme en hebben een verzorgend effect op uw hart en bloedvaten.
Traditioneel wordt er 5 gram theeblaadjes gebruikt, vergeleken met de gewoonlijk 3 gram in de Europese theecultuur. Het blad is immers robuust van smaak en kan zo tot 5 maal opgeschonken worden. Dit is echter geen vereiste.
Deze Pu erh Is een "Shou" of "Shu" Pu erh. Dit is het deel van de oogst dat volledig geoxideerd zowel als gefermenteerd wordt. De donkerdere blaadjes hebben een honingachtige tot aardeachtige tint, gelijkend op overrijp fruit.
